Where did all the air go? Park City - Utah riding in Fall of 2001
We journeyed again to the high country of Utah. Why you ask? Because we like oxygen deprivation? We like pain? We like the wide open spaces in far away places? We like riding with maniacs on Single speeds? Or maniacs in general? Actually, its because it was Gary's gathering, and we knew we would be riding a lot. Did I mention that we would be riding a lot? Well, Gary sure gave us our fare share of climbing, descending and just riding along in the MIGHTY WASATCH!
The first day took us to Park City where we would climb from 8000ft was it? All the way to fricken 10,000.
So long as I didn't push it I could breathe
I was working hard to keep up with the old guy
While others were just blasting on up!
And up
The single track was fast and furious
Fortunately they did stop and wait for me to catch up and breathe
It was not all climbing, since there were some flats spots to the next climb
And some people did have to stop to give back to the earth
And we did slow down to enjoy some of the views
The riding here is very different from BC, its dry, open and fast! You only get riding like this when you climb as high as this
Fortunately what goes up, must come down!
Thus ends 5 hours of lots of fricken climbing!
