Pascall and Joffre Shoulder - April 11, 2009

words and photos by Sharon Bader and Lee Lau unless otherwise noted.

Sharon, Tyler and I braved another day of variable Duffy weather and ventured south of the highway. We found good snow above 1700m on N facing slopes and proceeded to not conserve pow.

Flurries all day. Temperatures mild. Winds mild but gusting from SW. Could see convective storms blow in but no fronts had real conviction. At the end of the day, Tyler and I headed to 2500m to get a 800m rip back down to the road. Sharon still ended up doing 1400m vert. Tyler and I added another 800m to finish with 2200m

Sharon called it a day. Tyler didn't have enough so we decided to go for a pleasant ramble

The variable light gave us sunshine for our route down the N faces and cut out just as we got to the lake
