Also our vacation is about to end and we need to head back to Las Vegas. We heard that there was some pretty good riding in Red Canyon so we decided to check it out! After going into the Red Rock Casino for there all you can eat Buffet I pretty much had my Las Vegas fill for awhile…
St. Georges || Red Canyon – Thunder Mountain || Gooseberry Mesa Area || Monument Valley || South Rim of the Grand Canyon
We head into the Red Rocks.
There some geo morphology going on here too!
This is also a wild horse and burro refuge.
We rode up Mustang trail then up Red Rock to this viewpoint of Las Vegas 25miles away and the some remnants of locals doing what they do.
These trails can be ridden pretty much either way.
Mud still on the bikes from Thunder mountain!
Don’t cut the switchbacks!
These trails can be ridden in two directions. The map at Escape Adventures at the Bike Shop on 8221 W Charleston Blvd # 101 had a great map, offered tours and were really informative. The trails are signed, but the signs don’t correspond to their map so if you’re unsure hire a guide.
