Utah Hiking Trip
Upon Gary’s recommendation we stayed at the Little American Hotel in Salt Lake City. After going to AT&T to get a pay as you go SIMCard for my old IPhone to use as a hotspot, we picked up Gary to have lunch and some beer at Grid City Beer Works. I then picked up more beer at Level Crossing and Saltfire. Utah beer is now worthy!

After breakfast at the Little American Hotel we headed south to Torrey over Mt Timpanogos – The Alpine Scenic Byway Hwy 92. We took our time and took in the beautiful quaky colours of the Golden Aspens. We did a short hike on the Summit trail, we didn’t load our maps since we weren’t expecting to do a hike so we only did an out and back. There are a couple of loops you could do here. This is also where people mountain bike. We then drove via Hwy 24 tby Fish Lake to Torrey. Need to check this area out with the bikes!
We arrived in Torrey at the Noor hotel and enjoyed our view. We ate dinner at La Cueva Mexican which was very busy since not a lot of places were open due to staff shortages, getting into shoulder season and remote Utah…
Then next day we were going to do a big hike but it SNOWED! So we ate breakfast in Bicknell at the Sunglow Motel and Family Restaurant, then drove around and check out the Sunglow camp site. Lots of trails around this site.
