Part 3 – Moab and Grand Junction – escaping the rain

Fruita and Grand Junction

A trip to Moab, Utah has to include a trip to Fruita and Grand Junction. About a 2 hour drive East on the I-70 is Fruita with two great riding areas – Kokopelli and 18 Road, then you hit Grand Junction and the Lunch Loops and a bit further east we checked out a new trail in Palisade. These trails are maintained by COPMOBA, DONATE if you ride here!

Our first day we checked out the new two way trail – Hawkeye. Its a great technical climb and descent. The next day we rode the Palisade Trail in the town of Palisade. Another great loop. Our third day we got rained out, but did manage to complete a loop in the Lunch Loops. If you’re in town and want to be guided or shuttled contact David or Sarah at Desert Rat Tours
